Student Initiatives and Inclusion
The aim of Student Initiatives and Inclusion is to advance the university’s core value of diversity with respect to expanding access to health profession careers for students from diverse backgrounds and to foster a climate of inclusion for all VCU health sciences students. Student Initiatives and Inclusion consists of the Division for Academic Success (DAS) and Division for Health Sciences Diversity (DHSD).
Student Initiatives and Inclusion places emphasis on attracting and supporting students who come from historically underrepresented groups, geographic and educationally disadvantaged areas, and students with disabilities. The unit augments the work of student affairs offices on the MCV campus through providing innovative program solutions,academic support, and other social support resources.
Associate Vice President for Academic Health Sciences
Kevin A. Harris is the Associate Vice President for Academic Health Sciences for Virginia Commonwealth University. He has operational responsibility for providing leadership towards advancing the health sciences academic mission. Specific focus areas include diversity policy and programs, student access and inclusion, disability and academic support services, community engagement, and enhancing campus climate.

Logan Vetrovec, M.Ed
Community Integrative Administrator
Logan Vetrovec is the Community Integration Administrator. She is responsible for developing and administering holistic approaches to community engagement within the health sciences arena through building coalitions among campus-community stakeholders. She is also responsible for directing efforts on the Health Sciences campus to support community engagement programs that enhance the student experience, within academic and student affairs programs, and among community partners.

Lisa Webb, Ed.D., CRC
Executive Director, Academic Affairs
Lisa Webb is the Executive Director for Academic Affairs in the Office of the Vice President for Health Sciences. In her current role she oversees the Division for Academic Success and the Division for Health Sciences Diversity. She is a member of the Virginia Council on Transition Initiatives and the State Council on Higher Education in Virginia Disability Workgroup on Access to Higher Education for Students with Disabilities.
